Over-the-Knee Boots, Classy or Trashy?!

How to wear one of this season's hottest boots with style! (A style that doesn't have people thinking you're moonlighting as an adult entertainer.)

Stay far far away from Patent, and stiletto OTN Boots, or the combination...YIKES!

I have to say, I'm really not a fan of one of this season's "hot" items,the Over-the-Knee boot. It just brings back memories of Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman" and we all know why she was wearing her OTN boots, otherwise known as "Thigh Highs". It certainly wasn't to keep her legs warm, it was to achieve "that" look, Aka Trashy! Personally I don't think the trashy association with Thigh High Boots has ever really gone away.

I, for one will not be participating in this trend, and I am boot obsessed! I just can't get into this look,and I love me some boots! Whether it be knee high's, mid calf height, slouchy,lace up,chunky heels,flats to my 5 inchers, and of course all different kinds of booties.  I just can't do the Thigh Highs. BUT to each his, or in this case "her" own (Well with the exception of the tragic almost thigh high boots display by none other than Lenny Kravitz!)

 So for those of you who must have this "It" boot, please for the love of God wear them classy and NOT trashy!! That being said, below are some examples of the classy vs Trashy way's to wear these boots, flats,wedge heels or a not too high chunky heel appear to be the least offensive and most stylish in the bunch. With leggings, skinny jeans or if you must a cute mini skirt, sweater dress or shirt dress.
